I first saw this chuck at a woodworking show in my area on a router being used with a Legacy Ornamental Mill. It appeared too easy to use. It is. It replaces the collet on the router and accepts 1/2 inch shank router bits. It is put on just like the regular collet. Then a bit is inserted and the screw on the side of the chuck is tightened with an allen wrench. no more messin with the wrenches the router comes with and no concerns about possible slipping. I use a 5/32 T-handle ball-end wrench so I dont need to get straight into the cap screw socket to turn it. It makes it even easier to use. I have used small bits and large like my raised panel bit with backcutter and have not noticed any slipping. Magnate has an adapter for 1/4 also. All i need now is one for my Makita !! Hello ? I've been an avid (advanced hobby) woodworker now for several years. Several times I've needed to cut holes, rounded corners,etc. In the past I've used metal templetes, acrylic pcs. and other items with routers and jig saws. By far, the best jig I've used to date is the Micro-Fence. It is extremely rigid, and precise! This is not an ordinary metal tool. It's like a machinist's tool for woodworking. The things I build have tolerances in the 10 of thousands of an inch or less. The Micro Fence has micrometer adjustments and easy to use. The actual jig has stainless steel rods, black anodized AL. blocks which guide the SS rods and brass thumb screws for a non-marring tighting to these rods once the radius desired is set. Don't waste your money on something else when you can spend a little more for something that will last a lifetime. Highly recommend!

This fence is all that it is billed as and more. After dealing with cheap, poor designs and just poor quality fences, I cannot say enough about this gem. Ease of installation and use make it well worth the price.

This little gem is worth the money! After working with other guides that were less than accurate, of sloppy craftsmanship, poor design, poor materials, or just plain usless, this unit was a very pleasant suprise. It came fully asembled and ready to install, which was a breeze (all of 5 min). Directions for installation were clear and concise, operation smooth and consistent. Craftsmanship, finish and fit of the mechanism was of a very high quality and of sturdy materials. They were even kind enough to include a laminated converson chart(fraction to decimal) Just a top notch guide all around. I placed a heavy pencil line on a scrap of wood and incremintally removed the line with each pass, 1/100th at a time. Very smooth. Give it a try, I think you will be pleased.

This Mirka sandpaper works great on my random orbital sander - I am building a fiberglass boat and using special epoxy resins that are exceedingly tough to sand. Most sandpaper will loose its ability to cut into the epoxy pretty quick - this paper holds up well, though I still go through lots of it.
I first found it from another supplier, Jamestown Distributors, but like the pricing at Amazon.

I have tried several brands of sanding disc with poor results. Mirka sand fast with very little clogging in fact it works so well you can use the next finer grit with less stress on the sander. I prefer PSA V/S hook & loop.

I used this product to prepare a redwood deck and got excellent results and long lasting wear factor.

If you have a Porter Cable sander with hoook and loop fastening this paper is for you. It is a cut above what you get from PC. It lasts longer and cuts faster from the start. Of course you will still have to change it to sand efficiently but not as often. At this price you can get several boxes in different grits and you'll be good to go for any sanding project.

Long lasting,stiff backing,doesn't block up easily. Wish this brand was available in 2" rolls,for Delta drum sander. Outlasts other brands at least 5:1 in custom cabinet shop!

Holds up longer than the home center variety. Works great on my Bosch 6".
