I watched the video, went to my shop, set up my Dovertail machine and the only setting i had to change that the video suggested was the depth of the dovetail bit. The precision was incredible, and best yet repeatable! I love this machine, my wife just got me the variable spaced template (more on that later)!

I love these pocket screws. Definitly get a long square driver for these because you don't want any collet burns on your pieces. I wish I bought two boxes as you run out fast when you have a few projects. Get the other sizes as well - you'll need them!

I build cabinets part time and was looking for a better, quicker way to make cabinet face frames when I saw this pocket cutter on a T.V. show. I ordered it and was very surprised at what the pocket cutter consisted of: a rigid metal box, a heavy duty clamp and two porter cable router motors to be mounted inside of the box. A trim router plunges into the wood for the screw pilot hole, and a standard 1.5 hp router motor plunges in at an angle to cut the pocket. It makes quick, tight joints, but is only for use on 15/16" to around 3/4" material. If you plan to do a lot of this tye of work, I highly recommend this product.

I own just about all the PC 19.2v tools. I bought the 643 about a year ago and was immediately impressed with the excellent quality. There is nothing about this tool that is less functional or worse than an top-end corded jigsaw - no compromises were made in making it cordless.

The cuts are clean and accurate, the battery life is actually really good, and the adjustable orbit makes it useful on different materials. The blade really does change out instantly - a nice secure mechanism that works great. The tool has a solid feel and every adjustment is a pleasure to make.

Once you have put one of these in your hands you will want one even if you don't really use a jigsaw that often. It's actually been a much more useful tool than I expected, and being cordless you just tend to reach for it much more often than you would think.

I don't understand why PC is only selling this without a battery, charger, or case; it seems silly not to at least offer the same item with the accessories so that those who are new to PC tools could buy this one first without having to order the other stuff at the same time. Mine did not come with the case either. Lame. If I didn't love the tool so much I'd have to ding them one star for that.

The Porter-Cable "Razor" blades are the best saw blades I've used. I bought a Porter-Cable 324MAG 7-1/4" Blade Left Circular Saw which came with a "Porter-Cable 725VT20 7-1/4" 20 Tooth Razor" blade. It cuts all wood products, composites and vinyl like cutting butter.

I never thought I would be writing a review about sandpaper, but this product is extraordinary. 3M manufactures this sandpaper for Porter Cable. It doesn't load up like many, is very consistent in grit texture and easy to remove and line up with the dust removal holes. The adhesive backed paper works well also. I have made the mistake of buying some Japanese imitations to my regret. The adhesive type is far too sticky and is a pain to remove. It comes off in multiple pieces instead of the easily removed 3M. It is like their post it notes, it has just the right amount of adhesive to make it stick and not fly off when you are sanding, but it comes off easily when you need it to. If you are sanding a big project, the changes are many and you save considerable time with the 3M paper. In a big production shop, time is money and I imagine that the slight additional cost is well worth labor time. Also, there is that nice feeling of using a tool like the Porter Cable random orbit sanders, somehow, after using one, you are never tempted to buy a poorly made "bargain" sander and paper.

I'm glad that someone finally came up with a good way to attach these sanding pads. This hook and loop system is the best. I've been using palm sanders for years and have always hated removing my old adhesive sanding pads. These sanding pads are great for any sander that has a dust collecting system, the holes really let alot of dust through. Thank you Portercable for these awesome sandpaper pads!!!

fast,easy inexpensive option to the prepackaged stuff in stores only drawback would be for those who can't grasp the simple task of punching your own vent holes. For me, I use the tip of the scissors I cut it with.

This is now the only sandpaper I use. The rolls are a convenient width and the adhesive back allows it to attach quickly to power sanders and hand sanding blocks. It also wears very well compared to other sandpapers

A buddy of mine turned me on to this stuff, but not for the purpose it was designed for. It is great for my palm sander, sure, but I also stick strips of it side-by-side on a 12" square marble tile (granite would be better) I use as a reference surface for flattening things like my waterstones, the bottoms of planes, etc. I've also applied it to a 3"x24" flat board to use for sanding the rust off an old jointer table surface. I wish I would've thought of this before.
