Rousseau Review go for it, you won't regret it!!!!!!
Purchased the makita, hated it. Paid the extra $270 dollors for this stand and now its a good saw. Most of the downfalls of the makita saw are corrected by purchasing this stand.

Rousseau Review A awsome table
One of the best things I bought for my guy. He loves it, and so does the guys he works with now they want one too.

Rousseau Review Rousseau comes thru!!!!
Awesome portable saw set up. This stand makes my Makita feel like a new saw. The fence is as accurate as my shop saw and once squared it stays that way, unlike the fence that came with the saw. I always had to make sure it was lined up and parallel to the blade. Not any more. I also bought the outfeed table which is a must for ripping full sheets of plywood. It is so easy to pack all my tools up, set-up shop at the site, and take-down again. The wheels make it almost effortless.
The one thing that I could not figure out until I purchased this stand was how the wheels work? Now I know and thought I would pass it on to anyone thinking of buying this. It should not change your opinion in any way, just for the information sake. In the pictures the wheels are both on the legs of the stand (in the set-up position) and on the top and bottom of the saw in the folded position. This is actually achieved by quickly removing a cotter pin that holds the wheel on an axel, and moving the wheels to a mount for rolling in the folded position. It is simple to do but the wheels do not stay in the same place folded up as when the unit is set up. You do actually have to remove the wheels and remount them when unfolding the stand. Other than that this stand is perfect!! A must have in the carpentry business.

Rousseau Review The Single Best Job Site Tool You Can Buy!
I bought a PM2700D directly from Rousseau about 20 years ago when they were selling them in small ads in the classified sections of woodworking magazines. I'm a cabinet installer. I've used this stand every work day for more than 20 years. Most of the paint is worn off but it works as well today as it did when it was new. The fence is quick, acurate, and adjustable. This saw stand gets set up and taken down every work day. It the toughest tool I own. I use it with the optional outfeed table. It not only works as an excellent jobsite table saw, it also gets used as a stand for my miter saw, assembly table, workbench, and place to eat lunch! Best money I've ever spent! Thanks Rousseau!

Rousseau Review Job site portability, large saw advantages.
I've owned the PM2700D-R for 10 years now. It offers the advantages of a lightweight portable table saw with large saw cutting capability on the jobsite or in your garage. I've found set-up to be quick and easy. This unit needs minimal storage space, whether on the truck or in the shop. The cam locking fence system is sturdy and accurate, not quite Bissemeyer quality, but much better than the standard fence that came with my portable saw. This stand is 10 years old and has proven to be very durable. The locking hinge system for the legs still operates flawlessly and the entire table has held up well. I guess the only real drawback is that when my saw and stand are on the site, it's the only one that gets used...by everyone! One really cool feature is the fact that this stand doubles as a router table. This makes jobsite trim chores immensely more enjoyable. A great buy with fine quality add up to value. I've just purchased Rousseau's HD2950 Mitre saw stand, I hope it's of the same quality...but, more on that later!

Rousseau Review Miracle Improvement for BenchTop Saw.
My Rousseau Portable Table Saw Stand increased the usefullness of my benchtop saw by adding a much better fence and drastically increasing the size of the table top. Folds flat & stores easily when not in use. One of my best tool purchases

Rousseau Review Rousseau 3002 Router Lift LS
Having been a long time woodworker and used routers only as hand held, I made the jump to a Table top router.
As most woodworkers know changing bits can be cumbersome.
with the Rousseau its EZ. Another item is getting the correct depth is like pulling teeth without novocaine. This lift takes that out of the equation. I would recommend this to any novice or hardcore woodwork, it saves time and knuckles.

Rousseau Review Great router lifter
The router lifter did everything I could ask for and more. Ran 2,200 lineal feet of stock through the unit without any problems. Well worth the cost. A great addition to my collection.

Rousseau Review Precise Router Lift.
What it is: This is a JessEm Rout-R-Lift FX router lift, bolted to a much thickened phenolic Rousseau mounting plate. It appears to made of machined aluminum and/or alloy, possibly with some steel, most of which has a anodized finish. The tolerances are very tight and it operates very smoothly. This device fits in all Rousseau and the Bosch RA1200 router tables.

What it does: It allows for extreme precise height adjustment. Using a hex bolt atop simply turn to the right to raise or left to lower. It is that simple, no need to loosen something first or tighten after. One full turn equals 1/16" with numbers at 1/64" intervals and marks at every 1/512" in between. It lifts full up in around 30-40 turns for easy above the table bit changes.

Assembly: I was able to unlatch the quick-release cam lock level, drop in the router motor and latch with out adjusting anything right out of the box. A 7/16" bolt is used to tighten or loosen the tension if needed.

Was it worth it: The speed and accuracy of adjusting bit height is incredible. As is, removing and installing the router motor off the lift, which has no effect on previous setting. This allows for true one router motor for all bases. 5 stars.

Rousseau Review Rousseau batter board review
When I recently purchased the batter boards from Rosseau, I had no idea how much easier and more accurate my lay-outs would become. Thanks to them, I am always on the money and other contractors and subs are raving about them and always want to borrow mine, NOO WAY!

Rousseau Review Rousseau 4008 Batter Board System
The reuseable batter board system is the greatest thing since sliced bread. I just finished using this system on a Habitat for Humanity house foundation and the retired contractor working with us was very impressed. He immediately wanted know were we got them and recommended them to his son who now runs the business. The versatility to easily set for inside/outside of footings and inside/outside of forms as well as elevation with quick changes saves time and ensures accuracy. This is a must have for any builder.

Rousseau Review Solves an annoying problem
Although I have dust collection on my table saw and other woodworking machines, the corner of my garage where my chomp saw resides is a mess. Sawdust on the floor, the walls, the shelves nearby, everywhere. The DownDrafter has reduced fugitive dust to near zero.

It is a simple, well designed unit that easily adjusts to fit behind your saw. I have a Dewalt 12" sliding compound miter saw and the DownDrafter snuggles up to the back of it nicely. When adjusting for angled cuts, the DownDrafter easily moves left/right on its wheeled stand. The hood swivels on top of the stand, independent of the hose, so movement of the hood doesn't make the hose twist.

I have the DownDrafter connecter to a Jet DC1200CK canister dust collector with 12 feet of 4" hose. There is plenty of airflow to capture most cuts. Rapidly cutting through 8" of MDF 1 1/2" thick, a dust nightmare, was a little more than it could handle. Slowing down the cut slight solved the problem.

Overall, this

The DownDrafer has performed very well collecting most of the dust produced by my miter saw. I recommend it highly.

Rousseau Review A well built door bench
I ordered this door bench without having a chance to see it in person, as it is a specialized product and few tool dealers carry it. While this made me a bit hesitant, as it is an expensive tool, I can say that immediately upon it's arrival I recognized that it is a very well built tool. The table sets up easily and is rock solid, there is no play whatsoever in the legs. All the surfaces that will touch the door are lined with a heavy, uncolored rubber bumper that will not leave skid marks on the door. These rubber bumpers are also riveted to the bench. The metal surface of the bench and legs are treated (painted?) in such a way that they are not smooth. This surface treatment allows the adjustable door grip and rests to hold firmly in place, and also prevents tools from sliding around when there is sawdust on the bench. All the features of this tool are well thought out, and well executed. I certainly recommend it to anyone who works with doors on a regular basis.

Rousseau Review worth every penny
If your saw never leaves your shop, this is ideal. Built well and easy to assemble, I am very happy with this purchase. THe stand is very portable and folds down easily.

Rousseau Review Perfect companion to the Bosch 5412L
As with most things, you get what you pay for. After quite a bit of investigation, I settled on the 2875XL. I'd been looking for a stand for my new Bosch 5412L saw and had all but given up (thinking to build my own) when I found this. At $329, it's definitely not cheap. But then again, neither is the saw and I didn't want to shortchange myself on any usability in the shop by cheaping out on the stand.

So far, it's been awesome. It is very solid and with the casters locked, it doesn't move at all. Sure, you won't go lugging this setup to a jobsite but rolling it out of the basement and into the garage is easy. It was kind of a pain to put together, as the directions are pretty bad. In spite of this, beginning to end, including time to measure and drill the holes to bolt the saw to the top, was about two hours.

Someone else pointed out that it could be kind of topheavy, which is true, though that's true of a lot of stands. One little added benefit that I hadn't even considered was all of the space underneath. It's a great place to stash all of those bulky tool cases. When I'm working out in the garage, I can just roll this stand out there and everything (including my drills, router, circular saw etc) is right there where I need it.

I'm pretty picky when it comes to my tools. I would have no reservations about recommending this to any one in need of a good, stable miter saw stand.

Rousseau Review Great Product
The Stand arrived with the box slightly torn but all pieces were there. The directions were easy to follow. This stand was built more solid then I had expected. I have a dewalt sliding witer saw and was concerned about stablity. But this stand is extremly stable, rolls easy and the side supports adjust perfectly to the saw table. This is one great stand.

Rousseau Review May not be for you.
If you do woodworking for a living or are short on free time this may not be the stand for you. Don't forget you have to go and buy all the wood shelf's, cut and sand them. It took me the better part of a day to get done. Of course I am fussy and proud of my work. Other may slap it together faster and be happy with their results. I'm retired so spending a day making it cost me no paid work time.
Both ends of the shipping box were missing when I received it. My mailman was nice and he had taped up both ends.
I opened the box and started to assemble and found I was short one leg. There are 4 legs, two of one kind and two of the other kind. Well my box had 3 of one kind and 1 of the other. A toll free call to the company and they sent me out the missing leg in just under a week. Very good service. They wanted the wrong leg sent back with their UPS prepaid mailing label. Phone UPS for pick and they wanted some ungodly amount of money to pick it up. So I made a 10 mile trip to UPS.
I have a Makita model LS1013F 10" sliding compound miter saw mounted on it, and I'm pleased with the way it turned out.

Rousseau Review Had to make an adjustment with hacksaw!
After buying the Rousseau 1000 Mobile Planer Stand and loving it I decided to get a stand for my Miter Saw. I love this stand just as much as the the first. I would rate it five stars, except that vertical supports were about an inch to long or the top hole were the pins for the wings attached was drilled about an inch to low. Some adjustment was required, cutting off the top of the verts so that the wings cold be opened. Then moving the top table up another inch or so becasue the measurments suggested in the manuel were off by about the same amount as the top holes.
I noticed another reviewer was called by the president of the company, if the president would like to speak with me I would be more then happy to come discuss tool stands while on a jet boat ride through hells gate and Canyon. (if you never been to Clarkston you have to go)

Rousseau Review Perfect spot for a tool..
It moves, stores stuff, has infeed\outfeed, it is the perfect shop stand. The assemble wasn't the easiest but anyone with a shop should be able to do it.

If I had once complaint I would have liked to see the support wings supported on the edges with metal vs a single support underneath. Long term the wings will warp if kept out.

Rousseau Review Not for Porter Cable
I bought this stand after talking to Rousseau and being assured that the stand would work well with the Porter Cable 3812. Well . . . .they have included pre-drilled holes for the PC, but that's about it. You can't store the miter gauge on-board anymore (which means the cord storage is gone also), and the fence is in the way when storing upright (although you can move it). I was really disappointed, because this thing is built really well and would have been nice to have. Amazon is picking it up in the morning.

Rousseau Review Great Saw Stand!
I know it's kind of expensive, but it'sreally worth it. I was having trouble moving my Bosch "portable" table saw even though I'm a burly 6'5, 250 pound guy until I got it. It's a real sturdy stand that let's me move the saw easily - down 50 yards of gravel driveway from my shop to my house, then up six steps to the deck without hassle. I also wheel the saw to make the best use of shop space. I move it inside my shop as needed to cut large boards, or into a corner for storage. I generally don't fold the saw stand up unless I'm loadining it into my pickup.

Rousseau Review Simple to use
Simple to assemble, set up and use. I have a Makita, and Rousseau said I had to make a plywood base. It works great. Better than what comes with the saw. It is built for the beasts out there, so it is a bit big to go in and out of my trailer. No more saw off, move stand, saw on. Just push the button and(be careful..pinch hazard!)fold up the wheels.

Rousseau Review Throwing good money after bad...disappointing. Poor workmanship.
After reading all of the reviews here I bought the 2700XL for my Makita 2703. I thought that it would be an improvement with regard to the fence and add some much needed table space. So far it has been nothing but frustration. I just can't believe that it has gotten the positive reviews I have seen so far. Here are the issues:

Rather than attach to your table saw in any stable fashion it is designed so that your table saw rests on nylon ring mounts. This might work well if there was any way to adjust the height of the nylon mounts to get the 2700XL flush with the saw table...there isn't.

My instructions said that this table came pre-set for the Makita 2703 - it wasn't. My saw didn't fit at all and my first task was readjusting all of the nylon rings. When that was done it was apparent that the two table beds were not flush - the 2700XL sat below the saw table making the fence unusable.

Which leads me to the first MAJOR DESIGN FLAW: there is absolutely no way to level the 2700XL to your table saw. The only way to do it is to remove the two mylon mounts where the tables join and put shims there. Well that took me the first 2 hours of setup time. When I was done I had a level table but it was not mounted solidly and would tend to slide around since I was forced to bypass two of the mounts. If this table had been designed with an extra $.10 thumbscrew to level it I would not have had to go through this hastle.

The other issue with this is that you now no longer have a truly portable solution if you have to re-shim and level your table every time you take the bloody saw out...so consider this to be a stationary solution rather than a portable one as advertised.

So now I had a level table and I put on the fence. I slide the fence across and notice that the fence is not square with my saw table. Hardly believing my eyes (since that was the whole reason I bought the table in the first place) I slide the fence back over to the 2700XL table to find that the fence IS NOT EVEN SQUARE TO 2700XL TABLE ITSELF. The whole contraption is manufactured such that that the fence is not even square to the 2700XL and the table it mounts on. SLOPPY, SLOPPY, SLOPPY. And, again, I find that there is absolutely no way to adjust the fence or table to fix the problem.

The only positive thing I can say about this product is that it seems sturdy when the legs are unfolded but that's about it.

So now I am faced with the choice of either living with a $300+ off-square table/fence on sloppy mounts with homemade wooden shims leveling it, or packing it up and sending it back. I would recommend saving your money and buying a better saw. Buying this thing is definitely throwing good money after bad. Rousseau needs to send some folks to a seminar and learn about QA.

Addendum
I found an easier way to level the tables without sacrificing stability. I took out all of the screws supporting the 2700XL's table and added a plain metal washer. This raised the table a few millimeters to bring it into level with the saw table...much easier than shimming.

Rousseau Review Homeowner's Delight
This table is a delight. The cutting accuracy is incredible. Having recently retired, I'm catching up on 30 plus years of "honey-do's", including house remodeling. The large table space and the ease of operation are features not found on other saws I've owned. The portability is a major plus. Highly recommended.

Rousseau Review not for dewalt saws
I've used this stand with other saws in the past and found it to be outstanding. However, I would not recommend this stand for anyone who has the DeWalt DW744 table saw. You have to remove the entire existing rack & pinnion fence system (quite a bother) and then try to set the stand up to hold the saw tightly in place. This was not easy either, nor were the instructions helpful. Also, the table to the side is lower than the surface of the table saw and must be shimmed up to match. While I think this is a great product for most saws, I'm not pleased so far with how it fits my DeWalt.
