Tool Brands Review Not bad, could be better though.
I've owned this charger for a while now, and it does a pretty good job of charging up my 14.4v Dewalt and Firestorm batteries quickly. I don't care for B&D's method of indicating the charge status on batteries. The flashing light is ok, but having some sort of series of lights or varying colors would have been a better choice. As mentioned earlier, this unit is not rated to charge 18v packs and does not "condition" the batteries as does the Dewalt unit.

The charger is leaps and bounds above the standard cheap charger that comes with most of the B&D tools, and for the money, its not a bad investment. If you are looking for conditioning capability or the ability to eventually move up to 18v products, buy the Dewalt.

Tool Brands Review Not really a sharpener
This tool works more like a steel than a sharpener. If you have high-quality blades and want razor sharp edges, you'll be disappointed with this tool. The ceramic wheel simply isn't hard enough to sharpen hardened metal knives.

Tool Brands Review Give away your wet stones...
I am a life long lover of knives and an avid cook, I currently use a Hattori/Ryusen Cobalt VG10 10.75" chef knife and a Masahiro petty of the same metal. Though I am able to sharpen with a stone or ceramic rod and previously this is how I sharpened these knives, this Rollsharp makes that process merely cosmetic. This sharpener will keep even the most fine edge "showroom" sharp with absolutely no damage or scratches to any part of the blade if you use it correctly (which isn't difficult), and the recent release by Global of a knockoff of this sharpener with 2 wheels (fine and course) - but at 3 times the cost should give you an idea of it's abilities. This is also the sharpener recommended by Mac for their knives. My Ryusen sharpened by this Rollsharp and given a light steeling, with minimum leverage, will split a mango in half, longways, through the seed or shave delicate paper to ribbons.

Tool Brands Review Oh, it's a sharpener
This thing rocks. If you're someone who enjoys oiling up the ol' sharpening stones, can hold a blade at a precise angle for a half an hour or so, and have the patience to do same, don't bother. If, however, you fall into the category of people who don't have that sorta patience, have zero luck with sharpening steels, or care more about having a sharp blade than lookin' cool workin' the stones or steels, you'll love this gadget.

I put more than adequate edges on my henckel and sabatier knives in no time. The edges were a bit rough to look at, but they worked. And that's what I care about. Have some realistic expectations, and you'll appreciate what this thing does.

Tool Brands Review Great Drywall Aid
In addition to the drywall screw bag, you always need your pencil, razor knife, phillips screwdriver and black marker. This handy sheath hooks to the front of the screw bag or onto your belt to keep these items at your fingertips. Really worth
the cost!

Tool Brands Review Good option
For those who hate velcro, this is a great option to carry the "multi-tool/mag-lite" combo. The addition of the pen loops is an added bonus. The clip is also really nice as you don't feel like it's going to break like similar tool-packs with plastic clips, and it's easy to get onn and off your belt.

Durable and cost effective, overall a solid product.

Tool Brands Review Great Little Tool Holder !
There are 2 things I carry on my belt everyday on the job, My cell phone and this little pouch with a Gerber tool and my utility knife. I have only 2 small gripes, I wish that the back pad was a bit stiffer because my pouch has sagged a bit, and that there was a double layer at the bottom of the 2 tool holders because mine has now worn a hole in the bottom of both holders. With that said, It's hard to compain when the item is only 5 bucks and mine has remained faithful for 2 years!!

Tool Brands Review very disappointing
This cart shouldnt sell for more than $10. I got this for my mother and tried to assemble it on Christmas. The parts are so cheap that they wouldnt even fit together. You might think it would be of a little better quality based on the price. I am returning it.

Tool Brands Review I really like this cart
I read both reviews and decided to try the cart. It arrived today and I put it together quite easily. There are both diagrams and written instructions, and these are quite clear (in fact, clearer than most I've encountered). All the holes lined up very well. I used a little WD-40 and a tap with a rubber mallet to get the handle to slip down to the right spot. I put all my tools and gadgets in it and am quite pleased. It is well made and a very handy piece of equipment. I don't think I will use the bag holder but it is an option. I reccommend this product.

Tool Brands Review Love it!
I was apprehensive about buying this cart based on the earlier unfavorable review it received, but I'm glad I did. It was easy to assemble, the directions were straightforward, and all the pieces were there (which, in my experience, doesn't always happen). Once I had it put together, I was very happy with how sturdy it felt and how well it held my equipment. It's exactly what I hoped for and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Tool Brands Review Good hole saw Kit
Love the case best, wish I had a complete set of the large ones in a handy case like this. Good Dewalt quality tools. Very easy to handle.

Tool Brands Review dewalt tools
I own this set, along with many other DeWalt hole saws and have found them to be excellent tools. I primarily cut hard woods, but have also used them on 16 guage stainles with great results.I would recomend these to any one

Tool Brands Review Nice set
I got a gift certificate from work...100 bucks

I sometimes have a need to drill holes at work...sometimes holes as big as 2 inch to run conduit and tubing thru. I have a work provided set of hole saws but wanted my own....I do have numerous hole saws around the house from working over the years but wanted a set in its own case.

Have not used the set yet and may not use for a long time but like most name brand tools I am sure the quality is fine...and the case is really nice for a set of hole saws. I have a starret set at work and the little plastic case clasp is broken...you wont have to worry about the clasps on this dewalt case breaking as they are nice....like the ones on their power tool cases... It also has a handle which is nice.

IF I ever wear out the saws I can replace them and still have a nice cased set....

If you need a hole saw set and the sizes you need are in this set then get it because it is a quality set.

I bought from tool king and was very satisfied with their service...fast shipping.

Tool Brands Review Works as expected
If you have a Black & Decker rechargable tool that uses the VersaPak 105 battery, eventually you will need this. It is just what you expect: the same batteries that came with your tool. Buying this kit with the two-battery charger is only a couple of dollars more than the batteries alone, and gives you extra flexability.

Tool Brands Review RSR BD VP135
I purchased these as a replacement for worn-out batteries, and a second charger. I have not as of yet used them, but former batteries and charger were very good. I was especially pleased to read that these batteries are not subject to "memory cycles"

Tool Brands Review Maybe I'm just lucky but....
I bought the 725r (used) in 1995 and cannot say enough about it. In Florida, it was used every weekend for 5 years as a Trimmer, Edger and Blower. In North Carolina it has been used 4 times a year (as a trimmer), 8 hours/day for 5 days. I have never replaced anything on it but the spark plug. Never adjusted the carb. Cleaned the air filter only when I happened to think about it. The starting sequence has been the same for ten years.....pump the bulb until you "feel" the gas, 5 pulls on full choke and one pull on half choke. Will buy another trimmer soon as it's starting to lose some power but I don't like dealing with MTD so will probably buy the Husqvarna 323C.

Tool Brands Review Sweeeeet!
Have had this trimmer for 3 years...bought it to tackle our new larger yard that had been neglected by the previous owner - over grown to say the least!..the Ryobi is AWESOME! have never once had trouble starting this thing..and I don't do squat for carb maintenance...just put clean properly mixed gas in it and go..and this thing gets used - my neighbors can attest to that as it is quite loud...purchased the tree trimmer attachment as well..another thing of beauty...just keep an eye on the screw that holds the blade on and make sure it stays tight..luv it and am here buying one for my step father for X-mas!

Tool Brands Review Great!!!!!!!!! Excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This trimmer is great!I can use different attatchments and everything!!!It has been reliable and an overall good trimmer. It has just the right power needed!!!!!

I have had mine for 2 or 3 years now and it works just as good as when I first bought it.At first you need to run it some, to break in the engine, but then it works great!!!!I have two of them and I'm thinking of buying a third!!!!!!!!!!!

Tool Brands Review What happened to the quality?
I am a professional carpenter doing finish work in homes. I have used the Bucket Boss tool rig for years and it has been good but never great. What was good was the design--right number of pockets, right places, versatile, lightweight and, with suspenders, comfortable to wear all day long. The problem was that the material did not stand up to the demands of professional use for more than about 6 months. Then BB made one version of this rig with heavier material and, best of all, reinforced pockets that did not sag into uselessness in 6 months. It was perfect. It lasted for about 18 months which is good for a tool belt in constant use. When I ordered the same tool belt 18 months later, it was junk. Not only have they moved away from the quality material, they have gone to a lesser material that would not last 3 months.

Here is the good news for occasional users. This is a good tool belt for the weekend handyman or a summer project. It still has the usefulness of the original design.

But if you are a professional, don't waste your time or money-you will return it.

Tool Brands Review Good for Light work !
I've used this tool belt rig for over a year now in Florida, doing custom High-end trim work. I'm a professional with over 20 years in the field so I guess I can critique with some authority. The actual waist belt " sucks !" it went directly to the trash ! the left side fastener belt has good storage saving the fact that both small outside pockets lack depth and tend to rip where they are fastened , the steel framing square pocket could be a little deeper too! the pouch also lacks a tape pocket where you can easily access your tape measure , a clip would not be acceptable. The right hand tool pouch is pretty good some more inside partitions wouild be nice but , Oh Well! The hammer holder is useless I've closed the bottoom with a n electrical ty and use it for keeping a skeine of masons line in it. I've added a seperate hammer holder and use a seperate tape holder with the adddition of a STRONG 3" leather belt . I've hhad this belt for awhile as I've said and its time to have it restiched or replaced . Hard to get these things perfect I guess! all in all what can you get for FORTY BUCKS these days

Tool Brands Review I wouldn't buy any other toolbelt.
I am on my third "contractor's rig". I have something stuffed in every pocket. I re-hab old houses and I do more things than just carpentry. I carry a framing hammer, nails or screws for the job, screwdriver, pliers, cold chisel, awl, nailset, utility knife, crescent wrench, miniature screwdriver, 5 pencils or markers, razor blade scraper, electrical tape, 2-prong plug adaptors, electrical connectors; latex gloves, sandwich bag of misc. fasteners, paper towels, paint can opener, wood dowels, end nippers, wood chisel, nail claw, (2) voltage ticks, flashlight, 25' tape, some other odds and ends, and safety glasses. I like a toolbelt that is lightweight so I can pack around more tools. I like the Contractor's Rig having so many pockets... it has spoiled me for any other toolbelt... I am always on the lookout for a toolbelt with more utility, but I haven't found it yet. I have to use padded suspenders from Nailers with it because of the weight (and to attach my cell phone to), but, the belt is not all that easy to attach suspenders to. I have a 32" waist, which means the two bags, the tape holder bag, and two hammer loops (sometimes I carry an extra hammer or prybar) pretty much fill up the belt for me and still keep the bags off my thighs and to the side when I climb ladders or work on my knees). I have had to make repairs and sew up the toolbags a few times, but if you are using a toolbelt every day it is going to suffer wear and tear. The hammer sleeve makes a great place to store safety glasses.

Tool Brands Review I love my Ryobi 775R trimmer, and the Ryobi stuff.
I've had this trimmer now for about 6 or 7 years. Many times used it for as long as there was gas in it. Started according to the instructions all the time. I've learned to use ear mufflers because like any 2 cycle engine it is loud. I made a remark to my wife because after letting my Ryobi rear tine Tiller sit for over a year it started after I eliminated all of the operator errors as it should, and my remark to my wife was that all of my Ryobi equipment works like a charm, My Ryobi 3000BT table saw, Ryobi belt & disk sander, Ryobi chop saw, Ryobi sabre saw, Ryobi circular saw with laser light, Ryobi router 160R and most of all my Ryobi 775R trimmer. All very proud of my Ryobi stuff. Ryobi also makes a 2 tower printing press that besides prints real good, it also runs real smooth. Bloody hands? If you've really used this trimmer you know that isn't true. It sounds like the competition bad mouthing a very worthy competitor, what a compliment . . . What also makes this trimmer pretty special, type in the part you need with Ryobi through google and about 4 vendors willing to sell you the part you need with explosion detail drawings with part #'s at a reasonable price. At a Lowe's store today I spotted the bumper knob, a coupler, the string trimmer holder thingy and the trimmer string. How good can it get? I believe all of us that are giving this trimmer 5 star are actual users and can appreciate a product that has been designed well and has held up after years of actual use.

Tool Brands Review Best trimmer I have owned
This trimmer has plenty of power, and is comfortable to operate. I have not had any problems out of it in four years of use. It still starts very easy, and I have really used it every year.

Tool Brands Review Works GREAT!
I've owned one of these units for a couple of years and I'm VERY happy with it. The ability to use different tools is great. I have the normal string trimmer attachment that comes with the unit and the Lawn Edger attachment as well. I plan on getting the cultivator attachment next.

A lot of people have trouble with two-cycle engines. They're a bit difficult to get used to, but once you figure them out, they're very reliable and easy to deal with.

The biggest thing to remember is that you have to use pre-mix gas (32:1 gas to good quality synthentic 2-cycle oil) and you must shake the string trimmer a bit before using if it's been unused for a while. You must also shake the gas can after mixing and before using if it's set for a while.

Make sure you press the priming bulb about 6 times when first starting it (but don't keep pressing it if it doesn't start, you'll just flood the engine).

turn on full choke, hold the throttle full open and pull a couple of times until it fires and quits.

roll off to half choke, keeping the throttle full open, then pull until it starts.

Keep the throttle full open, let it run about 10 seconds and slowly roll the choke to full open.

You're up and running!!!

BTW: Make sure you wear hearing protection. ALL gas-powered equipment is LOUD!! I recommend ear plugs (at least 25 db of attenuation). I use heavy-duty ear muffs with my iPod earphones underneath so I can listen to music while I work.

Tool Brands Review Fire Storm 12V battery systems
I have two tools (drill & screwdriver) that use this battery system. I have 2 battery chargers (one with each tool) and three batteries. The tools work fine - when the batteries work. However both chargers are useless (one after only one battery recharge). Not sure about the batteries - no working charger to test with.

Based upon this limited sample, and comments by others, I would suggest staying away from Black and Decker Fire Storm systems

Tool Brands Review Will not hold a charge
The Black and Decker website claims these batteries will recharge 300 or 500 times (depending on which page you view...). My drill with 2 batteries is about 5 years old, and I would say I have recharged the batteries no more than 15-20 times. They are now vitually useless. They will recharge, but in 3-5 days on the shelf they are completely dead. As others have mentioned, I can go buy a new drill with 2 batteries and accessories for [...], or pay [...] for 2 new batteries. Guess which I will do...

Tool Brands Review Worn Out Batteries?
I love this cordless tool set, it does everything. I realy need the jigsaw tip right now but the batteries both willl not take a charge. Did these new bateries solve the problem? No, it appears the charger has died. Now I'll order a charger and will have 4 batteries. That'll keep it going for a while.
