baldor saves deltabandsaw
Delta Bandsaw upgradeFor those of you considering upgrading your Delta bandsaws, I have a word of caution. The enclosed base of the saw is very tight and this motor is significantly longer than the 3/4hp std. I had to reverse the motor mounting bars inside the base and relocate the saw itself on the base(re-drilling holes) , toward the edge, to get it all to work.
Relocating the saw was important because it was the only way to make the motor pulley line up with the saw pulley. Also, if you don't make these mod's, the motor's fan sits right up against the side of the base of the saw. This make's it very difficult for the motor's fan to draw enough air to effectively cool the motor.
One other point: while the Furnas contactor that came with the saw was sufficient to handle the load of the new motor, I felt the std. wiring which is 16Ga., needed an upgrade to 14 Ga., so I did.
Lastly, the only reason that the motor doesn't get a higher grade is that there is more vibation now with it installed, than before with the 3/4hp OEM motor, which incidently was made by Marathon in the USA. I'm not sure why, but it makes one of the steel panels on the base rattle rather loudly. I will deaden the sound somehow but its just another anoyance to deal with. The good news is that the vibration has no effect on the cutting ability/stability of the saw itself. It is still smooth.
The price is great, especially because this is a Farm Duty motor. That's what the "FD" stands for in the part number.

You get what you pay for...
Great Brand Name and A Great ProductI own several Bucket Boss products. I have found the quality of the materials and construction to be top notch. I am a full-time handyman and as you can imagine, I put the items to the test.
I am using this item as my electrical/plumbing tool bucket. The numbers of pockets are ideal for the small repair jobs I do when it comes to electrical and plumbing. Since the number of pockets is low, compared with Bucket Boss' other holders, the pockets are larger and hold items bigger than a screwdriver or wrench. (ie; a pipe cutter, electrical tape)
The material is very durable and I expect to have this item for many years to come.
I hope you find as much pleasure with this product as I have.
Perfect for the "handyman"It appears to be well constructed and I assume that it will last for years. There are numerous pockets of various sizes that will hold almost any tool. Larger tools such as a drill or handsaw can go into the bucket.
You don't have to be a contractor to justify purchasing one of these. Even if you're just the household "handyman," the Bucket Boss will make your life a lot easier.

- 30 outside pockets / 14 inside pockets
- 2 interior pockets for screw bits and other small items

Multipurpose!
One of those "I wish I had thought of that"I can carry all my nets, scrubbers, air tubing, filter sponges, flourescent light starters, etc... in the bucket and still put a little water in the bottom to transport the fish!
Not your typical usage, I admit, but the item is well made and functional for just about any use.
What took me so long?!
- 18 inch x 10 inch x 12 inch
- Large main compartment
- Rigid bottom protects tools
- Elastic end pockets
- Boss-tex ripstop fabric

A really great bagI had been planning on buying a smaller bag but then decided upon this model because I liked the look of it. Boy am I glad I did. One of the things I carry in it are my kneepads. If you are like me and you have a nice set of large kneepads make sure you take their size into account. I thought my tools would be swimming around in this large bag, but with those kneepads in there everything just fit. So if kneepads are one of the things you intend to carry choose your bag size and then buy the next one larger.
I gave this item four stars instead of five because of two, small quibbles. The first has to do with the internal pockets. Most of the pockets are pretty good sized, which is a good choice for holding a variety of tools, but it would have been nice if they would have placed narrower pockets on one of the sides for holding tools like screwdrivers or combination wrenches. As it is I have to put several screwdrivers or wrenches in each of the larger pockets. The second quibble is about the shoulder strap. Considering the potential weight that you might be carrying in the bag it would have been nicer if they would have included a wider strap with a real pad on it. Instead it is a fairly standard nylon strap with one of those useless rubber things that slides along it. If you have the bag loaded up and you have to carry it for more than a short ways you're going to be feeling it in your shoulder. I'll probably be investing some time at the sewing machine in fashioning a much beefier pad for this strap.
Those things aside I would highly recommend this bag to anyone at all, and I'm sure I'll be buying more of their stuff in the near future.
One Handsome bag
Use your imagination!I don't have enough tools in my life to fill a shoe box and I am not a carpenter, so you know that I had another purpose in mind. In the 90's I had a Sony Prosumer shoulder mount video camera and I bought a generic carpenters bag ($55 & no pockets) to carry it. I recently bought a Sony PDX10 and needed a new bag.
Well this bag not only has enough room for my video camera it also holds my digital still camera, my laptop (to view my videos) and pockets to hold every accessory needed plus all my socks and underwear if I am travelling. If you have an imagination this bag is a worthwhile albeit small investment.

Great job but frequent belt replacement - early death for Power Paw
Great vacuum! The vacuum itself is great, the HEPA filter works like it should (no yucky vacuum smell or dust) and it had no problems getting out all the dust and dirt from our carpets. We vacuumed our whole house (which hadnt been vacuumed in atleast a month) and only filled up about half the container, so we had no problems with the storage capacity.
This vacuum came with a variety of accessories including a "paw" that allows you to vacuum stairs and curtains and a "static duster" that will clean itself when u put it back in its compartment on the vaccuum. THe paw itself works just as it should and had no problems reaching the stairs and sucking up stuff.
Now the only bad thing..
The duster itself is a brilliant idea. You would let it spin for a while to create static, take it out and attract dust on window sills etc and put it back in with all the dirt hanging onto the duster and spin it again to suck all the dust off. Great idea, but the only thing is (i'm not sure if its a techinical problem or design flaw) the duster wouldn't spin all the way. It would go and then stop and get stuck. We had to manually twist it ourselves to allow the duster to get static. After cleaning with it and all the dust was on it, we put it back in and because the suction from the vaccuum itself wasn't enough to spin the duster, u could still see large particles of webs or dust still caught on the duster.
Other than that, it is a great vaccuum with everything you could ever want out of a vacuum. It has plenty of accessories, convenient storage for those accessories, plenty of suction, plenty of room, and effective filter and doesn't weigh a ton. And plus, our version came with a free "minivac" that was like a mini vaccuum that had a detachable end and converted into a hand vac. It is very light and you could carry it everywhere with one hand with ease. This vaccuum also exceeded expectations and had plenty of suction to deal with everyday messes like spilled cereal or sugar.
Excellent upgrade
