Tool Brands Review baldor saves deltabandsaw
I bought a delta 14" bandsaw with a 6" extension kit hoping to saw up a bunch of wood. Was I mistaken! After only one afternoon of re-sawing, the emerson motor died. I have baldor motors on some other equipment with no failures , so when I found these motors on AMAZON I ordered one. (Much less costly than any other source I could find too!) Shipping was free! the motor fits perfectly, even the pulley fit correctly. However, when I hooked it up according to the Baldor supplied diagrams it ran the wrong direction. After an hour on the internet I found a wiring diagram to have the motor running in the correct direction. Now my new saw cuts great! No bogging down, no vibration and much less noise. Why in the world would Delta cripple an otherwise great bandsaw with inferior motors? They should use bigger baldor motors. I would have given the motor a five if the wiring diagram were more complete and included full instructions for directional wiring .low opp(115v) join 1,3&5 to line A; 4 to line B; join 2,J&8. and for High opp (220v) join 1&5 to line A; 4 to line B; join 2,3&8; cap J

Tool Brands Review Delta Bandsaw upgrade
I bought this motor because the resawing capability of the std. 3/4 hp motor on my Delta bandsaw left much to be desired. This motor does not have that problem. It has plenty of power.

For those of you considering upgrading your Delta bandsaws, I have a word of caution. The enclosed base of the saw is very tight and this motor is significantly longer than the 3/4hp std. I had to reverse the motor mounting bars inside the base and relocate the saw itself on the base(re-drilling holes) , toward the edge, to get it all to work.

Relocating the saw was important because it was the only way to make the motor pulley line up with the saw pulley. Also, if you don't make these mod's, the motor's fan sits right up against the side of the base of the saw. This make's it very difficult for the motor's fan to draw enough air to effectively cool the motor.

One other point: while the Furnas contactor that came with the saw was sufficient to handle the load of the new motor, I felt the std. wiring which is 16Ga., needed an upgrade to 14 Ga., so I did.

Lastly, the only reason that the motor doesn't get a higher grade is that there is more vibation now with it installed, than before with the 3/4hp OEM motor, which incidently was made by Marathon in the USA. I'm not sure why, but it makes one of the steel panels on the base rattle rather loudly. I will deaden the sound somehow but its just another anoyance to deal with. The good news is that the vibration has no effect on the cutting ability/stability of the saw itself. It is still smooth.

The price is great, especially because this is a Farm Duty motor. That's what the "FD" stands for in the part number.

Tool Brands Review Fantastic Replacement Motor
I have a Delta 14" Band Saw. During some extensive resawing I burned up the 3/4 HP motor. The warranty was expired (saw was 3 years old) so the only option was to either get the motor rewound or replaced. The repair was almost the cost of a new motor and the fact that the old one fried didn't make me too keen on a same motor replacement. I did some hunting around and saw that Amazon sold Baldor. I checked out a number of local suppliers and Amazon beat the price by close to [$$$]. That's not small change. My concern was fitting the motor into the enclosed base. I bought the motor,,it is fantastic...It was a nice fit, the old motor was wide open and caked inside with sawdust,,the Baldor is totally enclosed and fan cooled. It arrived in perfect shape and took about a half hour to install. It runs on 220 but I was able to use the same wiring, just change the plug. I have a Unisaw so the 220 was no problem. I am completely satisfied with the motor and with Amazon's price, I was able to double the horsepower get a tremendous increase in quality for the price of replacing the old motor.

Tool Brands Review Good tool but needs tweeking - not good for short persons
This is a good tool but it needs some tweeking to make it great. The handle is too long for a short person, it should be adjustable along the length. The blade should also swivel a full circle (ball joint) to allow for lawn edging, as it is now designed you have to stand directly over the area being cut with the blade straight downward - very painful to the sholders especially with the handles been too long for the petite gardener

Tool Brands Review Garden Shear
This shear is a back saver. Need a little time to get used to the many position you can use. A best buy.

Tool Brands Review The Back Saver
I bought these shears to get at the weeds around the base of my roses. I have over 300 feet of roses where the star thistle, bermuda grass and other weeds love to grow. The Fiskars Gardener's Shears made the work a lot easier and I can get closer to the plants than I can with a weed eater. The rotating blades also make it easy to get into odd places and cut the grass along fences and around rocks. I highly recommend this tool.

Tool Brands Review Good organizer & seat but not built well
I found the Bucket Seat Pro to be a great idea. Great storage for small parts and tools but the seat broke at the hinge. The design creates a stress spot at the hinge that isn't strong enough to hold your weight. Too bad, it was great while it lasted (one year).

Tool Brands Review Not for Manly Tool Stuff ONLY!
OK, I bought several of these Bucket Boss Bucket Seat Pros for the USUAL uses - lids with convenient hardware / small tool storage. And the seat works GREAT for it's intended purposes! My wife came up with the idea (after thoroughly washing, of course) to use the seat to put vegatables and dip in. She uses a 5 gal bucket as a picnic basket, filled with ice, soda, food and enough room for plastic plates and utensils, paper napkins in a plastic baggie, etc. We're all set!
The possibilities for the complete Bucket Boss line are endless!!!

Tool Brands Review bucket boss seat-lid
Very nice for storage of any type of small parts, examples-soliderless terminals, bx/romex conn., wire nuts, wire staples, plug fuses, ect. You can also stand on the top of it to use buckett with lid as a short ladder or stepping stool; and aaa yes, as for those of you who can sit on the job, a nice seat.

Tool Brands Review Quality Bucket Boss Drill Holster
The strap to hold you drill in has only one position and it needs more to hold all drills securely. A strap with velcro would solve this problem.

Tool Brands Review Quick Draw
This holster is handy anytime or anywhere you do lots of drilling or driving. It's also great when you're on a ladder and don't have enough hands. It saves time by keeping your tools right there where you need them. I've used it with cordless and corded tools when hanging electrical boxes and running wire through studs, hanging drywall, and siding work. I like the snapping strap to secure the tool when you're busy with something else. It has slots to hold extra bits and extensions, too. However, I found it works best with smaller drills. I tried this holster on my belt with my big 19.2V PorterCable hammer/drill/driver and it about jerked the pants right off me. It wasn't quite big enough to keep that heavy tool from tipping back and out of the holster. Instead, I use it with a large leather tool belt to put around my middle and that worked out much better by balancing the drill while it hangs. At any rate, I now have no trouble with trying to find a place to set my drills and drivers when doing working in difficult places. And the holster is good for holding other tools too. Thanks, Amazon !!

Tool Brands Review Best lefty
This is by far the best left-handed holster I have used. The thick padding of the holster keeps the drill securly in place even without the strap. The bit pockets are very handy for pencils(or even screws) as well as bits. Bucket Boss somehow made this durable, comfortable, holster better and cheaper than any other holster I've seen.

Tool Brands Review Great Product for Dog Hair and Hardwoods
Very light, long cord, and plenty of power to pick up dog hair and other light items. This is not for someone who wants a full fledged vacuum. My only complaint is that it's made of cheap plastic and will most likely crack/break if dropped.

Tool Brands Review Eureka Stick Vacuum
I had an old Eureka electric broom similar to this one. It picked up better when it was about to "croak" than others I have purchased when they were brand new. It is also easier to empty than others I have tried. I have hardwood floors and this vacuum works great.

Tool Brands Review Love this vacuum!
I have two dogs and a cat and my house gets pretty hairy. This vacuum works better than the larger, more expensive ones I have used. I got it as a gift and just saw the price now. I cannot believe how cheap it is. I was thinking it was more expensive than the bigger ones because it is smaller and easier to use but works even better!

It's very cheap, works great, small, light and you don't have to spend money on vacuum bags.

I absolutely recommend this vacuum.

Tool Brands Review Usefulll 'lil thang
I like having a tire gauge and I like having one that fits on a key chain but it is small and delicate for getting a good reading quickly. The end must be matched up flush to avoid air escaping and I am left wondering if an "O" ring or other gasket is missing from the unit... other traditional gauges I've used suffer similar problems... hard to read at night or with even modest vision impairments.

Tool Brands Review Just what i need
This tiny little key chain does exactly what it's supposed to. Very small, very cheap and very good. I even checked it's accuracy. Recommend if you only need to check your tires with a very low price but accurated device.

Tool Brands Review Amazing
This is an awesome guage. I work in the tire business and this guage is very accurate and durable. I have used it regularly for a year and a half and will be purchasing another when this one finally does go.

Tool Brands Review You get what you pay for...
Although it dosn't have all of the bells and whistles that it's more expensive relatives have, this bucket organizer is pretty good for less than $20. This was my first turn over from a tool box, and I've found that it's design makes it easy to access all your tools, as well as make sure they are all there when the jobs done...

Tool Brands Review Great Brand Name and A Great Product

I own several Bucket Boss products. I have found the quality of the materials and construction to be top notch. I am a full-time handyman and as you can imagine, I put the items to the test.

I am using this item as my electrical/plumbing tool bucket. The numbers of pockets are ideal for the small repair jobs I do when it comes to electrical and plumbing. Since the number of pockets is low, compared with Bucket Boss' other holders, the pockets are larger and hold items bigger than a screwdriver or wrench. (ie; a pipe cutter, electrical tape)

The material is very durable and I expect to have this item for many years to come.

I hope you find as much pleasure with this product as I have.

Tool Brands Review Perfect for the "handyman"
When I use to work on projects around the house I would usually bring in my entire toolbox (which weighs a ton) plus carry by hand whatever other tools I thought I needed that weren't in the box (e.g. drill). That often meant making several trips from the garage. It was overkill and cluttered up my work area. Now that I have one of these, I just load it up with what I need and take to my project. It's easy to carry and everything is organized.

It appears to be well constructed and I assume that it will last for years. There are numerous pockets of various sizes that will hold almost any tool. Larger tools such as a drill or handsaw can go into the bucket.

You don't have to be a contractor to justify purchasing one of these. Even if you're just the household "handyman," the Bucket Boss will make your life a lot easier.

Tool Brands Review Multipurpose!
I bought 2 of the bucket boss organizers for Father's Day gifts. I was very pleased with the quality of the material and space in the pockets: the only problem was the description of the item does not tell you that the 5 gallon bucket is not included....but the gifts were a big hit.....my Father uses it for plumbing tools and Father-in-law uses it on his boat for crabbing/fishing essentials!

Tool Brands Review One of those "I wish I had thought of that"
I own an aquarium maintenance company and this thing works like a champ.

I can carry all my nets, scrubbers, air tubing, filter sponges, flourescent light starters, etc... in the bucket and still put a little water in the bottom to transport the fish!

Not your typical usage, I admit, but the item is well made and functional for just about any use.

Tool Brands Review What took me so long?!
I can't believe I waited so long to get this Bucket Boss! Rose gardening is ever so much easier with all my tools in one place, easily transportable from bush to bush. I added the seat to the top, so now my back doesn't bother me so much....and I can stay in the garden longer! There is a convenient-sized pocket for virtually any size tool, and the pockets inside provide great protection for related items that I don't want "soiled" while I'm working.

Tool Brands Review A really great bag
I am very very pleased with my purchase of this bag. The construction is of excellent quality and it really can hold a whole lot of stuff. I bought this bag with the intention of carrying a selection of hand tools along with my cordless drill and some of its accessories to and from work. My main goal was to find something that would hold all of that and be easy to carry. It certainly holds everything I wanted it to and then some.

I had been planning on buying a smaller bag but then decided upon this model because I liked the look of it. Boy am I glad I did. One of the things I carry in it are my kneepads. If you are like me and you have a nice set of large kneepads make sure you take their size into account. I thought my tools would be swimming around in this large bag, but with those kneepads in there everything just fit. So if kneepads are one of the things you intend to carry choose your bag size and then buy the next one larger.

I gave this item four stars instead of five because of two, small quibbles. The first has to do with the internal pockets. Most of the pockets are pretty good sized, which is a good choice for holding a variety of tools, but it would have been nice if they would have placed narrower pockets on one of the sides for holding tools like screwdrivers or combination wrenches. As it is I have to put several screwdrivers or wrenches in each of the larger pockets. The second quibble is about the shoulder strap. Considering the potential weight that you might be carrying in the bag it would have been nicer if they would have included a wider strap with a real pad on it. Instead it is a fairly standard nylon strap with one of those useless rubber things that slides along it. If you have the bag loaded up and you have to carry it for more than a short ways you're going to be feeling it in your shoulder. I'll probably be investing some time at the sewing machine in fashioning a much beefier pad for this strap.

Those things aside I would highly recommend this bag to anyone at all, and I'm sure I'll be buying more of their stuff in the near future.

Tool Brands Review One Handsome bag
I bought this bag as a tool bag but it didn't get much use as one. After giving it some test runs with tools i wasn't quite sure how to fit it into my truck tool boxes. After bringing it into the house one day my daughter used it for a overnight bag and liked it. It works great for packing extra clothes for the little ones, and Daddy likes to show it off. Maybe some day it will end up back in the work truck or maybe i'll get another one. Just a well built bag {for anything}

Tool Brands Review Use your imagination!
This is one terrific bag! I haven't a clue how they produce such a well made bag at such a low price. Very heavy duty.
I don't have enough tools in my life to fill a shoe box and I am not a carpenter, so you know that I had another purpose in mind. In the 90's I had a Sony Prosumer shoulder mount video camera and I bought a generic carpenters bag ($55 & no pockets) to carry it. I recently bought a Sony PDX10 and needed a new bag.
Well this bag not only has enough room for my video camera it also holds my digital still camera, my laptop (to view my videos) and pockets to hold every accessory needed plus all my socks and underwear if I am travelling. If you have an imagination this bag is a worthwhile albeit small investment.

Tool Brands Review Great job but frequent belt replacement - early death for Power Paw
I love the job that this vacuum does, however I have gone through 3 belts in less than a year. I do have to cut dog hair out of the brushes regularly but I have a 150# Newfie so that is to be expected. Since I have carpeted stairs, I thought the Power Paw was a great idea. It worked like a charm --- for two steps!!!! --- then it died. It will no longer spin. Complete disassembly and cleaning of the Power Paw did not revive it. Frequent belt replacement and a Power Paw that was dead shortly after arrival mean three stars instead of five.

Tool Brands Review Great vacuum!
We just got this vacuum a couple weeks ago and were amazed at all the additional accessories that came with it as well as the closed system HEPA filter.
The vacuum itself is great, the HEPA filter works like it should (no yucky vacuum smell or dust) and it had no problems getting out all the dust and dirt from our carpets. We vacuumed our whole house (which hadnt been vacuumed in atleast a month) and only filled up about half the container, so we had no problems with the storage capacity.

This vacuum came with a variety of accessories including a "paw" that allows you to vacuum stairs and curtains and a "static duster" that will clean itself when u put it back in its compartment on the vaccuum. THe paw itself works just as it should and had no problems reaching the stairs and sucking up stuff.

Now the only bad thing..
The duster itself is a brilliant idea. You would let it spin for a while to create static, take it out and attract dust on window sills etc and put it back in with all the dirt hanging onto the duster and spin it again to suck all the dust off. Great idea, but the only thing is (i'm not sure if its a techinical problem or design flaw) the duster wouldn't spin all the way. It would go and then stop and get stuck. We had to manually twist it ourselves to allow the duster to get static. After cleaning with it and all the dust was on it, we put it back in and because the suction from the vaccuum itself wasn't enough to spin the duster, u could still see large particles of webs or dust still caught on the duster.

Other than that, it is a great vaccuum with everything you could ever want out of a vacuum. It has plenty of accessories, convenient storage for those accessories, plenty of suction, plenty of room, and effective filter and doesn't weigh a ton. And plus, our version came with a free "minivac" that was like a mini vaccuum that had a detachable end and converted into a hand vac. It is very light and you could carry it everywhere with one hand with ease. This vaccuum also exceeded expectations and had plenty of suction to deal with everyday messes like spilled cereal or sugar.

Tool Brands Review Excellent upgrade
My original vacuum cleaner (for my small, carpeted office) was the Boss lite, which worked fairly well at picking up dirt. But, it's small and does not get close enough to the walls. Therefore, I ordered the Eureka 5863 as a replacement. It arrived quickly, in the manufacturer's box. Assembly was quick and quite simple. What a difference from the smaller vacuum. This is much more powerful, requiring one (or two) passes over an area of carpet to get all the deep dirt. Also, it has an edge cleaner which is really nice for getting close to the wall. The accessories are conveniently placed on the vacuum and work well. The hose is much longer than included with my smaller vacuum. Overall, this is a powerful, easy to use, time saving vacuum. The bonus stick vac (ie., dust buster like vacuum) is a nice addition for cleaning small areas very conveniently. It even has an extendable handle so that it can be used to quickly clean a small section of the carpet when the larger vacuum isn't needed.
